Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below shows the time slots that are reserved - not confirmed exams. Please check with your instructor whether or not your course will be taking its final exam during this time.
Make sure you read the Goethe exam rules and guidelines on each exam page before making a decision to register. Also, make sure you sign up for the right exam level.
Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Please refer to the exam pages for more details on exam topics, exam conditions and conditions, and other guidelines. If you need special accommodations because of chronic illness, visual or hearing impairment or other limitations, contact the exam provider and provide the documents when you register.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday has a "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to discover their exam schedules. In addition, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes that have exams required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class time of the final exam weeks.

Registration
Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However, it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule could change at any time. For this reason, students should consult their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also make sure to print the official list and bring it to their exam.
Students should also be familiar with the guidelines and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. These are accessible on the individual exam pages. Students acknowledge having read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.

If students are scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their instructor or department in order to arrange for a make-up test. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. However, this can lead to a high level of stress and affect the quality of the exam. Before taking the test, students must prepare by studying their study material and practicing their German skills. The test is a written test that tests your ability to read and write, as well as speak German. If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to be awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the examination fee. This is in addition to the course fees.
Practice tests give you an overview of the style, wording and difficulty of the questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your knowledge, identify areas of weakness and increase your chances of passing the test.
It is important to note that the exam fee is not refundable. Examination results can only be received by email and not by telephone.
